After a period of training, every artist embarks on a travel of self discovery. My work negotiates the travelled road from journeyman to painter : an artistic rebirth that contains within it my vision of light, color and spacial relationships. Art is creation, when a person paints, sculpts or writes, it taps into a greater power that is more beautiful than anything science can show us. Art is, by virtue of its essence, creation.

My painting arrives from a synergy that combines my travels, education in the arts and the development of my personal craft. My work is the fusion two things: My love for traditional artistic techniques as shown by the great masters of the Baroque and Early 20th Century Fauvism combined with a love of painting that speaks to the heart and eyes with an equal force. After the first brush-stroke, the canvas assumes a life of its own; at this point, you become both governor and spectator to your own event. This is what I love most, that by painting, you become both the channel and source of a new creation. people ask why I paint, and the answer comes from Pablo Picasso "Painting is a way of keeping a diary"... and from my art I find the voice of my past and future in every brushstroke.
